CONGRATULATIONS "BOO" AND FAMILY
OUR HOUSE OF HOPE FOSTER FAMILIES GRADUATE FROM AMERICAN RED CROSS PET FIRST AID AND CPR CERTIFICATION COURSE. Because top notch medical care is our number 1 priority with our animals, it is essential that our foster homes are always prepared to handle basic first aid and emergency related issues. A special thanks goes out to K-9 Playtime of Mundelein for hosting the seminar, Dr. Laura Brown D.V.M. of Green Tree Animal Hospital in Libertyville for providing reference materials and a valuable question and answer period in between sessions, to our instructor, Linda Raphael of The American Red Cross and to our foster families for their continued dedication and commitment to our animals.
2/11/08 Three "Our House of Hope Alumni" graduate from CGC Certification Course. After an intense 8 week C.G.C. Certification Course, three of Our House of Hope Rescues graduate with honors. The course is designed to prepare them for therapy work. Holly, Callie and Reggie have come so far in such a short amount of time.
Holly is a 8+ year old Cocker Spaniel who is totally deaf, Callie is a 1.5 yr.old, high energy Terrier Mix who just wants to please and Reggie is a 4 yr old Cocker Spaniel that will melt your heart. All were trained under the direction of Maria Betlinski of Double M Obedience in Libertyville. Maria has a way of teaching the "individual" dog and handler and addressing issues unique to each for maximum performance. She has over 30 years experience and is one of a kind in dog training. Completion of this course is not the only thing that these 3 dogs have in common. They are "all" foster care flunkies. They have all been adopted by their foster families and have now become goodwill ambassadors for Our House of Hope K-9 rescue.
